500-year-old chapel comes alive with one exquisite light installation
24 April 2016
As part of a fundraising campaign organized by the University of Cambridge, the iconic King’s College Chapel was overtaken by artist Miguel Chevalier, who created an incredible immersive projection across the entire space.
The projections were used to accompany the speeches of guests during the fundraising campaign, including Sir Ian McKellen, Sir David Attenborough and Stephen Hawking. To illustrate each guest’s subject, Chevalier included wild graphics that took visitors into another dimension with bold colour and light.
The installation is called ‘Dear World … Yours, Cambridge’ and you’ll be happy to know that this isn’t the first installation Miguel Chevalier has created. Check out his website for even more exquisite installations.
